Picture Magic Getting Started Tutorial ver. 2.0

Hello and welcome to Picture Magic, let’s get started learning about this powerful application.

When Picture Magic starts up, you will be taken to the main page where you will see two buttons: Activate and Open Image.

The Activate button is for users who have purchased a copy of Picture Magic and have been provided with an Activation Code. All versions of Picture Magic are trial versions until you enter your Activation Code which will unlock the full version. By clicking Activate, Picture Magic will sync with our activation server and download your activation code and unlock Picture Magic automatically. If this fails you will be prompted to enter your activation code manually. Your Activation Code will be provided by the vendor you purchase Picture Magic from. Once Picture Magic has been activated the Activate button will disappear.

The Open Image button will allow you to open images you want to modify. Click on Open Image and select which storage location your photos are in. Once you select your photo, it will be displayed and be ready for modification.

Add Image

1. Press the BlackBerry button.
2. Click on Add Image.
3. Select the image you would like to use from one of the categories.
4. Your image will appear in your photo and you will be able to move it around using the trackball, click the trackball to lock the image into position.

You can add as many images as you like following this process.

Touch Screen Instructions:

1. Click the Add Image Button.
2. Select the image you would like to use by clicking on one of the categories.
3. Your image will appear in your photo and you will be able to move it around by touching the screen, click the screen to lock the image into position.

Note: To move the image touch the screen where you would like the image to go.

Add Text

1. Press the BlackBerry Button.
2. Click on Add Text.
3. In the text field you can type in whatever you would like to add to your image.
4. Modify the font and color with the drop down menus on this screen.
5. Click OK to add text to your image.
6. Your text will appear in your photo and you will be able to move it around using the trackball, click the trackball to lock it into position.

Navigation

Once you have had the chance to add text or images you will notice a white square on the screen. The white square is your cursor. It will move when you move the track ball. You can use the cursor to click on images or text and move them around, once you are done moving them around click again to lock text or images into position. You can use the cursor to select images or text added to your photo.

Note: Images or text must be select with the cursor in order to be moved around.

Once you have had the chance to add text or images you will notice a white square on the screen. The white square is your cursor. The cursor will move around when you click or touch the screen. You can use the cursor to click on images or text and move them around, once you are done moving them around click again to lock it into position. You can use the cursor to select images or text added to your photo.

Note: Images or text must be selected with the cursor in order to be moved around. To move images or text around you must click on them first and then touch the screen where you want the images to go.

Modify the Size of Images or Text

Click on an image or text you have added to your photo with the cursor.

You can use the I (-) or O (+) keys on your BlackBerry to decrease or increase the size of your added images or text.

You can also press the BlackBerry Key and select Increase Size or Decrease Size but it is easier to use the I or O keys as a shortcut.

Note: Images or text must be selected with the cursor in order to increase or decrease their size.

Touch Screen Instructions:

Click on an image or text you have added to your photo with the cursor.

You will notice that + and - buttons have appeared at the top right of the screen.

You can click on the + and - buttons to increase or decrease the size of images or text.

Moving Images to the Back or Front

Moving an image or text to the back, is useful if you want to put an image or text behind or in front of another image or text.

For example, you’ve added text but you want to put it in a text bubble. When you add the text bubble to your image it goes over the text.

Click on the text bubble using the cursor.

Press the BlackBerry button and select Send to Back.

You will notice the text bubble is now behind the text you added.

If you want to move the text bubble on top of the text, click on the text bubble using the cursor.

Press the BlackBerry button and select Send to Front.

You will now notice the text bubble is on top of the text.

Note: Moving images to the front or back is useful when you are dealing with multiple images and text on the screen. For example hat and hair images you may want one in front or behind the other.

Moving Images to the Back or Front

Click on the image or text you wish to remove with the cursor.

Press the BlackBerry button and select Remove Item.

You will notice the image or text you selected has been removed.

Note: An image or text must be selected in order to remove it, this feature is useful when you want to remove an item you do not want in your image.

Moving Images to the Back or Front

Once you are done modifying your photo press the BlackBerry button.

Select Save As.

Please note that the Save As feature is not available in the trial version of Picture Magic. You must purchase the full version of Picture Magic in order to save your modified photos.

If you have purchased the full version of Picture Magic click on Save As and you will be able to save your modified photos.
